How do you change your WhatsApp Number?
To change your WhatsApp number, go to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Change number > Next. Enter your old and new phone numbers, then tap Next. You can choose to notify your contacts about the change, select your notification preferences, and then tap Done. You will then need to register your new phone number by verifying a code sent to it to complete the process.
Step-by-step instructions
- Open: WhatsApp and go to the Settings menu.
- Tap on Account.
- Select the option to Change number.
- Tap Next to proceed to the number input screen.
- Enter your old phone number in the first field and your new phone number in the second field.
- Tap Next.
- Choose whether to Notify contacts and select your preferred option:
- All Contacts
- Contacts I have chats with
- Custom: To select specific contacts
- Tap Done.
- Follow the prompts to register and verify your new phone number.
