What is the Impact Score, and how does it work?
At InvestorKit, we believe in clear standards, real growth, and meaningful recognition.
The Magnitude of Impact scale exists to help you reflect on your personal contribution — to your peers, your clients, your division, and ultimately, our business.
It is a tool designed to help you understand your current level of influence and impact, based on measurable and observable behaviours.
More than just a reflection of your results, it is about how consistently you live our values and demonstrate the behaviours that define a remarkable member of our team.
Here is James explaining what it is, how it works and how it influences much of what we do here at InvestorKit
How Your Magnitude of Impact Influences Your Career at InvestorKit
At InvestorKit, we believe that excellence should be recognised and rewarded — and that starts with setting clear expectations around behaviours, impact, and outcomes.
Your Magnitude of Impact rating plays a critical role in shaping key career decisions, including pay, promotions, rewards, and recognition.
Here is how your impact influences your journey with us:
- Ongoing employment We are committed to helping every team member succeed. However, if someone remains at an Average impact level or below despite two months of focused coaching and support, a formal performance improvement plan may be introduced. We are building a team of the very best — and we want you to be part of it.
- Full comms dispersal Commissions and bonuses are awarded at the discretion of leadership. If your behaviours drop to an Average or below, even if you meet your KPIs, leadership may choose to withhold some or all commission payments. Living our values and maintaining a high standard of impact is essential to earning full rewards.
- Pay rises Pay increases are tied not just to what you achieve, but how you achieve it. Team members who consistently maintain an impact rating of Great or above will be eligible for pay rise consideration at review time. Those averaging below this standard may not be eligible for salary increases.
- Career Advancements Promotion and progression opportunities are reserved for individuals who reach and sustain a Great impact level or higher. We promote based on impact, values, and contribution — not just tenure.
- Awards, perks and recognition programs Meeting quantitative KPIs alone is not enough to secure awards, perks, or incentives. To be considered for any form of formal recognition, you must also consistently demonstrate a Great impact level or higher.
- Values Awards, Impact and Excellence awards Your Magnitude of Impact rating directly influences your eligibility for our annual Values Awards, Impact Awards, and Excellence Awards at EOFY and Christmas events. Those who live our values and demonstrate Remarkable impact are the ones we proudly celebrate.
Here is a simple breakdown:
Excellent status and above = Higher Pay rises and progression eligibility at discretion
Good status and above = Full comms, awards, standard pay rise ranges, perks and recognition program eligibility, as well as ongoing employment at discretion
Average status and below = Performance management, termination at discretion
How does the Rating Scale work?
The scale is broken down across six key ratings:
Poor, Average, Good, Great, Excellent, and Remarkable.
Each tier includes a list of observable behaviours that you can recognise in yourself and others. These behaviours paint a clear picture of the level of effort, values alignment, and influence you are demonstrating today — and what it takes to reach the next level.
This is about progress, not perfection.
No matter where you start, there is always a path forward.

Becoming Remarkable: How We Help You Get There
Your journey to Remarkable performance at InvestorKit is supported through our POWER and GROWTH coaching programs.
Through these programs, your leaders will work closely with you to:
- Assess your current impact
- Identify specific areas for development
- Build a clear pathway from Good to Great, and from Great to Remarkable
You might be wondering,
“How do they determine the right Impact Score for me?”
Let us break it down for you.
How We Determine Your Impact Score
While each role has slightly different expectations, we assess your Impact Score based on the number of areas where growth is still needed, across the seven key pillars of Remarkable performance.
Here is the general guide:
Impact Level | Areas Needing Improvement |
Remarkable | All behaviours consistently observed |
Excellent | 1–2 areas for improvement |
Great | 3–4 areas for improvement |
Good | 5–6 areas for improvement |
Average | 7–9 areas for improvement |
Poor | 10 or more areas for improvement |
What This Looks Like in Practice
During your coaching sessions, you and your leader will sit down to clearly identify the specific behaviours — drawn from any of the seven key pillars — where growth is needed to reach Remarkable.
If you have 4 areas to improve on for example, this would mean you are currently at Great status - an awesome space to be in no doubt - but you now also have clarity on what you need to focus on in order to lift from Great, to Excellent and ultimately; Remarkable.
You will work with your leader on a plan to address these areas of growth over the months ahead as you connect for your regular Power and Growth coaching sessions. Each time you tick one off you will be one step closer to that elite status that you deserve.
